Update: JAMB Admission Status Checking Portal For 2016/17

All prospective students can still check their Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Admission status for 2016/2017 online.

Following the cancellation of Post-UTME, it was made mandatory for all tertiary institutions to compile the names of all successful candidates that reached the cut- off mark for their institutions for admission into the 2016/2017 academic session.

The announcement was made by the board recently through its Public Relations Officer; Dr. Fabian Benjamin that the portal has been opened for checking admission status for the 2016/2017 academic session.

All candidates who applied for the just concluded JAMB examination exercise are advised to check their admission status on the Jamb Status checking portal.
Follow the steps provided below to check your JAMB admission status on the portal:
STEP 1. JAMB-UTME and Direct Entry candidates can now access their admission status from JAMB portal. LOG ON TO:

STEP 2. Carefully enter your Jamb Registration Number in the space provided on the page that you will be automatically redirected to. Then click on ‘Check Jamb Admission Status.’
STEP 3. Once you click on the ‘Check Jamb Admission Status’ button, your admission status will be displayed for you on your screen.
Candidates whose names appeared on Jamb admission status checking portal website should go ahead to print their admission letter.
NOTE: Candidates who do not see their name should not lose hope but instead, check back at a later time as the name might not have been submitted to the Jamb portal at that time
It is also important that you confirm your name on the official portal of your school of choice whenever the names are released.
