(KingsleyGoogle Sports) Jesus to break Aguero's FPL dominance

FPL managers have not forgotten the late-season impact of Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus (£10.5m).

The Brazilian sits in 13% of squads and is the seventh most popular forward in the game.

Only 9.1% have acquired his more expensive team-mate Sergio Aguero (£11.5m), who has scored 20+ goals in three successive seasons.

Jesus produced seven goals and four assists in 10 Gameweek appearances after arriving in January.

The consistent striker returned Fantasy points in seven of his eight starts under head coach Pep Guardiola.

An average of 6.7 points per match (ppm) was second only to Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane (£12.5m and 7.5ppm) among FPL forwards.

By comparison, Aguero averaged 5.6 ppm.

Jesus was also far more clinical last season. He scored 29.2% of his opportunities compared with Aguero’s 14.4%.
He could also claim penalty duties, having converted Man City’s final spot-kick of 2016/17 against Leicester City in Gameweek 37.
Jesus v Aguero 2016/17
  Aguero Jesus
Minutes per goal 120.2 92.9
Shot accuracy 36.7 50
Goal conversion 14.4% 29.2%

When on the pitch, Jesus scored or assisted 50% of Man City's goals - an identical record to Aguero.

But he was more impressive in terms of creativity, averaging a key pass every 65.1 minutes to Aguero’s 77.5.

When utilised on the right flank for the final two fixtures of the season, Jesus returned a goal and assist on both occasions.
That versatility could make the Brazilian a more assured starter than even Aguero.

And with seven of his opening 10 matches scoring two or less in the Fixture Difficulty Rankings (FDR), investors can expect early rewards.
